Margaret River [AUSTRALIA] |
Margaret River is a beautiful town in the Western Australia, 277 kilometres south of Perth, the state capital. People paddle up the river in canoes to see some special melaleuca trees. Also known as paperbarks, these trees lose their bark in thin layers, like sheets of paper.
Aboriginal people would come out here and leave their tears, fears and grief at the bottom of one of these trees. They believed that all those emotions would go up through the trunk and branches and then blow away through the leaves.
